Salomon’s Speedcross 6 puts a pronounced lug pattern beneath a trail-running silhouette. It belongs in the conversation when the route has turned to mud and soft ground, and an ordinary pavement shoe has begun negotiating against you. Match the tread to the terrain, check the fit, and remember that wet roots and rock remain wet roots and rock. For a mostly paved afternoon, this much tread may be unnecessary.
